Our state of the art Early Intervention Unit is furnished with updated assessment procedure, professional therapists, intervention protocol and necessary equipment. The Unit accommodates individual cabin for each child and 1:1 service provided by a teacher for a child. Our trained and experienced teachers implement Individual Education Plan (IEP). Parents can monitor activities of their children and the school caregivers on their mobile phones through CCTV.

Early intervention

Psychological assessment of autistic children using standard tests can be a valuable tool for evaluation and treatment planning. However, such assessment can be difficult, and requires careful understanding and management of the handicaps characteristic of autism. This article describes common problems that arise in testing autistic children, gives guidelines for test selection, and discusses the applicability of a number of standard tests to this population. It also presents general principles for test administration and behavior management during testing.

Our service starts from the very beginning of stepping into the centre. There is no inequality regarding ethnicity, gender and religion. We value and respect every parent who has any question or concern about development or problems relating to neurological aspect. From this point, our dedicated and devoted associates help children where to go. The children, who have come for the first time, are taken to our ‘Walk-In-Clinic’, the already diagnosed epilepsy children to ‘Epilepsy Clinic, the ‘High Risk Baby’ to ‘Multiple disability clinic: We always encourage and welcome parents to accompany their children as we strongly believe that parents are the ones who know their children the best and without their active participation it is impossible to make any changes for these affected children.

Following Delays Warrant an Immediate Evaluation:

  • By 28 Days: History of hospital admission due to any cause
  • By 6 Months: No back-and-forth sharing of sounds, smiles
  • By 12 Months: Lack of response to name, No babbling, No pointing/showing/waving
  • By 16 Months: No Single meaningful word
  • By 24 Months: No meaningful two-word sentence/ imitate/repeating

Warning Sign for Teenage, Adolescents:

  • Excessive Sleeping, beyond usual teenage fatigue, which could indicate depression
  • Loss of self-esteem
  • Abandonment/Loss of Interest in academic performance
  • Personality Change such as aggressiveness/excess anger

Some Concerning Behaviour:

  • Decrease in Enjoyment, time spent with friends & family
  • Strong Resistance to attend school/absenteeism
  • Problems with Memory & attention/concentration

The clinic accepts referral from a variety of hospitals. Each child is assessed by the Medical Team (Pediatrician, Neurologist), Psychologist, Therapists (Occupational, Speech and Language therapists and Physiotherapist) by administering standard scales and tools. Based on the comprehensive assessment the multidisciplinary team assists with diagnosis of conditions, determines a plan for management and if required admission into RIAND Bangladesh. In conjunction to current services audio logical test by Indian Professional, hydrotherapy and aqua therapy has introduced in RIAND Bangladesh. There is a plan to install EEG, hyperbaric oxygen therapy for treatment of special children. For pathological investigation, RIAND Bangladesh trying to work with some of the renowned laboratories of the world in joint venture. We hope that we will be able to start the service within very short period of time.
